I was looking for add on cruse control/throttle locks for my new 22 Bonni and took the suggestion to get an Atlas brand. So when I tried to install it to the throttle tube the rubber cover end just got in the way and the tube did not have a definite end stop to but up against the throttle lock. Then amazingly my Triumph dealer said there was a factory upgraded left hand assembly that has the factory cruse control incorporated. So I have one on order. I will need to install it along with it's wire harnes and then have the dealer upgrade the controller and wallah I have factory cruse control! $300 smackeroons though. The Atlas was $150.

I recently had that installed on my 2016 T120 by the dealer. I also ordered from a dealer on line as my deal said it’s been discontinued. It’s great and we’ll worth the price.

There is an easier way. Harley Davidson used a friction knob on my street bob so that you could adjust it to hole the throttle
position. When you came to a stop etc you have to twist the throttle closed.
On my T100 I added a thick rubber o-ring between the throttle grip and the end cap. It holds the throttle if I remove my hand. I have been riding like this since 2009. Easy on the wrist. Just remove it to have the bike serviced or tell the technician so he knows the throttle requires manual return.

I also have a '22 T100 and have considered installing cruise control. The factory part, as you said, is about 300 bucks and available but at $180/hr shop rates looks like if I want it I'll have to put it in myself. I have installed heated grips and a center stand but not sure about the cruise control. I believe the connectors are under the tank. If you have done this how tough was it?

Correct. You will have to remove the tank. I was told by my dealer mechanic that most of all accessories like that attach in one location under the tank. To avoid a gas line connector disassembly mess he advised to disconnect the fuel pump wiring connector and start the bike to drain off the 100 lbs. of pressure. I'm waiting for the heated grips. I will have a winter project to install the new left hand control assembly with cruse control, heated grips, and electrical accessory dash outlet. I was told since the T100 doesn't come from the factory with cruse control feature my ECU will need to be flashed to access the cruse feature. I'll post what happens.

I never thought to look for a factory (OEM) cruise control. I've been using Cramp Busters for years now. They are neither a throttle lock or cruise control. What they allow is for you to use the weight of your hand and arm to maintain a given speed. At under $15.00 through most bike shops, it's worth checking out. Buy the small size, a bitch getting them on, but it is the correct size for the throttle grip of most Triumphs.

Boy, are they great!

I have a Cramp Buster on all my bikes! They are great, especially if you're an old guy with some arthritis in your hands!
