I saw this on YouTube late last year and thought this might be something to look into. The clip is from DelBoy’s garage.

I ordered a set from the chap in the UK after questioning the feasibility of installing these to the 95 TBird 900 (they are not cheap when you factor the cost of postage and Canadian dollar exchange to the pound sterling). The swap out was easy and the TBird started right up. The thing I noticed is the engine rpm dropped slightly which I am happy with.

Has anyone had experiance in removing the three mounted coils and replaced them with the stick coils?

I like DellBoy's garage. He doesn't talk more than he needs to, but he tells you enough and doesn't hide anything he's doing (if you're paying attention).

This was good...I don't know if I'll do the same, but I will certainly take DellBoy's advice if I do.

Now, to go back and look for front forks seals.

I bought stick coils from Paul Messenger via Facebook.
Easy job to change.
Our 2003 Thunderbird became more easy to start, the engine runs smoother and consumes less fuel. All this is marginally, but it`s clear.
I`m happy with that.

That’s the chap I bought my set from. Nicest of the nice in dealing with! Can’t wait till I can really ride later this winter/spring.
Took me awhile to make connection with Paul, as I don’t have a Facebook account as someone hyjacked my email address with an idiotic owners name on the account. ….but try and tell that to Facebook.
