All week we were being warned to prepare for a serious and major snow storm on Saturday into Sunday. Every day we were updated on the progress of the storm across the lower USA and being shown a possible track right over our province.
Then, by Wednesday, weather conditions and the jet stream began to change and we were told it might be 50/50 and miss us altogether.
This was confirmed late Thursday and now the storm will track well to the south thanks to a huge high pressure area pushing the storm away from our shores and it will likely not even brush us.
PHEW!!!! We dodged a bullet!!
I wasn't that worried about it as I have my trusty snow blower and I have nowhere I have to go, but still, it's nice to not have to deal with a major snow storm BGRIN
To all our American TT friends in the southeast US and along the coast, take care and be safe TUP TUP

In the last 12 hours the temps here have dropped 33 DegF. The wind is really howling out there this morning. I'm just glad I live where the storms grab all their moisture to share with other regions. I'd hate to know I had to deal with all that white stuff that's headed to the northeast.

bring it on, we're ready!

@Rocky so has the new old snow blower had a chance to prove itself yet BGRIN
Yes it has.
I've had it out twice so far this winter and it's working fine.
Each time I used it I was smiling inside with a bit of pride that I was able to repair it myself.
For $45.00 (new auger thrust bearing), a few hours work and maintnance it's as good as it ever was.
While I had it totally apart I adjusted the clutch and cleaned and lubed everything.
The old girl is over 25 years-old, but the engine doesn't have that many hours on it and runs as well as it ever did.
It's an air-cooled four-stroke 8HP single and runs great. One yank on the starter cord and it starts every time. I care for it was well as I do my bikes, and store it inside, so it should last for many years yet.
The new ones in the same class from the same manufacturer are very little different than the old model so there was no advantage in moving up.
$45.00 or $1000.00 -plus 15% tax - which would you choose BGRIN

Well, we didn't escape the storm altogether like we were told, but it only brushed us here along the coast.
Some areas got a fairly heavy dusting while others got barely any - some areas none at all. Here in the city we only got enough to make the streets greasy for a while.
Anyway, it's gone past now and the sun is out again and everything is back to normal - normal for winter BGRIN

+5 Celsius here for the next 2 days and RAIN! What is up with this weather?
Supposed to be warmer down your way, Rocky.
Weird winter weather so far, but at least we aren't shovelling it ;)
