Hey All,
My name is Stu and I'm in West Los Angeles.
I recently picked up a 2022 T120 and I'm slowly going
throught my list of mods. I've purchased some spots and a wiring loom
but don't have any previous electrical experience , if any of you have
added lights and are good with with wiring, I'd appreciate your help.
Anyway, I'm happy to be here and will post some pics shortly.
Best,
Stu

Welcome aboard.

Do you want the lights to have their own switch? Wired to the ignition so that when the ignition is off, the lights are off?
I'd like the lights to be controlled by the ignition in case if forget to turn them off manually with the supplied switch. The Amazon loom I purchased has a relay, inline fuse and switch to mount on handlebar.

Here's the loom I received last week,

Are the spots LEDs? LEDs draw less current than traditional bulbs.
Yes LEDs. Here's the link to the lights:

On my 2020 T120, there is a cable under the meant to be used for a smartphone, GPS, etc. I spliced into this wire to power my lights' switch. It is tied to the ignition so when the key is off, the two Piaa lights are off. I didn't want to go into the headlight bucket.

I found pics related to another members question about the same subject. I'm taking pics to compare wiring options to what is under your saddle to my bike later this week when I have time. I'm guessing I'll need some other wiring supplies to use your method.

Let me know what you find.

I looked at your wire harness. Looks pretty complete. Think you will just need some type of wire tap for the low voltage wire needed to power your switch.
Like CarlS did from his bike. Pretty sure your 22 will have the USB connection under the seat that you can tap into.
Also, where there is no ground wire coming out of your lights you will have to ground your harness grounds to the frame at some point, or run them to the lights and ground them at the mount.
How are you mounting these lights, BTW.

Hey Qship thanks for reaching out.
I'm going to take a close look under the seat this evening. I could use some help identifying which wire (s) to tap into and a suitable grounding location. Sorry I've never done any automotive wiring, but I'm reasonably handy and can follow instructions.
As far light mounting location, I've tested them on top of the dresser bars that I recently installed, its tight but it works.
I will consider other lighting mods to headlight and indicators in the future and that may open up option to install fork mounting brackets.
Check out Matt's bike at Classic Rides, its pretty much the same look, only his single light appears to be incandescent/halogen, https://www.youtube.com/c/ClassicRides.
If you have any suggestion please let me know.

Dresser bars sounds like a great mounting point. Make sure you have good connectors and a bit of dielectric grease in the connectors should help keep them free of corrosion. Also make sure you keep the wiring tidy and free from rubbing and chafing. Fastening to the wiring or frame under the tank will help and keep it clean looking. Yes, you will have to remove the tank for this. Google and be careful and you should be fine.
