No, this isn't about the US election or anything related to that. It's about a blast of warm southern air that is over us at the moment with temps at 17C (63F). Bikes are out on the road all over the place enjoying it while it lasts - which won't be for long.
I can't ride anyway, and my bikes are mothballed for the winter, but it's hard to not be envious and not wish I was out there too.

Yesterday, it has been four months since my crash. Physio has been going well and I have almost a normal life now but I still have far to go. Reaching over my head is the hardest motion to get back. The gains from this point forward are going to be the hardest and the smallest, but I have grit and determination.
I know that my range of motion will never be what it was before the crash but it won't be because I didn't try or put the effort into it.
The artifical shoulder itself will restrict some extreme mobility movements but I can accept that. I'm just grateful that I have my life back this soon and am able to do normal things.

Glad to see ya doing better mate.....I know what ya mean about seeing bikes out there and wanting to get on your own. I was out with the family when Bike week was on and the amount of bikes was crazy up and down the coast. Then seeing 10 or 12 all riding together and the sound....I was scratching like like I needed a dose..... :ya2:

Have a good one mate. Don't give up the physio, it can work wonders.

Rocky, I am delighted to hear of your progress. Next year you will be on two wheels again. Of course, if you come down this way this winter, I can put you on two wheels sooner.

Hey you guys, thanks for the encouragement :y115:
Yes, when the snow starts to fall the last thing we will be thinking about is riding. We just settle in and do other things until late April/early May - depending on the weather.
One of my winter hobbies is target pistol shooting but I don't think I'll be able to hold a pistol steady or for very long this winter. I'm right handed and it's the right arm that was injured.
Our shooting leagues don't get started until after 1 January so I'll just have to wait and see.
We have a Christmas "turkey shoot" coming up on 20 December so I'll try my hand at that as a test.
BTW, to not offend any wildlife or animal rights people, the "turkey" we shoot at is a paper target :ya2:

I think you've got something there, Carl :y115:
"Dry fire" practice in the basement would be good therapy by just holding the firearm out there and keeping the sights aligned. The weight alone is good for the shoulder muscles.
Our shooting leagues use the ISU rules of one-handed shooting so I can't use my other arm for support.
I'm doing training with light free weights now so it wouldn't be that much different.
I don't think I could ever handle left handed shooting, but then......

I am trying to develop left hand shooting skills after 54 years of right hand shooting, it is a struggle. But I have found my natural eye - hand coordination with my left hand is very good. My point shooting lefty style is good.
