Whilst Kevin is cooking down under, we are freezing our bits off over here!
This morning it was -6degC with a 25mph wind with 4" of snow forecast this afternoon, so it was a bit drafty around the lug holes!
As there is not much building going on in these temperatures, I had the day off and went for a walk through the Dallam Park, here are a few pics to cool you down Kev.

A bit more white stuff.

Steve, I've only seen snow once in my life and am no big fan of those temperatures, but, if offered your day or mine, today I may go with the white stuff. I figure you could dress up and go for a walk, my only real option was inside with the AC or in and out of the pool but the out bits weren't much chop.

Hey Harry, that second one from the left is a bit of alright.

Steve, I just did a bit of a Google Earth walk about your town (Milnthorpe). I don't understand why you blokes still have all of those old buildings, hey we would have them all knocked over and nice fresh ones in place by now. :y2:

I can't even begin to think what those temps are like down where otherwise is.
I live right on the Atlantic Ocean so summer breezes keep us relatively cool, but inland away from the ocean air the temps can get up to around 33-34C (91-93F). On days like that I stay in the shade.
This morning at 7:45 AM my time it's -14C (10F) and a bit chilly to say the least!!
It's snowing lightly and I just came in from clearing my sidewalk before the foot traffic packs it down. I live near a large school.
After a spate of crazy mild weather for almost two weeks we were warned that "real winter" woul be back by the weekend - and here it is CRY One week ago it was 9C (48F)!!!
"They" say it will be raining again by Sunday :y13: That's the kind of yo-yo weather patterns we get.

Rocky, we're also going through a bit of a hot then cold season (summer), just that for us the cold is about 25C (78F), hot is normally about 35C (88F) but today 45C (112F).
Fortunately at about 7.00PM a southerly change come through and now at 11.15PM it's 26C (80F) so the AC was turned off and the house is all opened up, very comfortable, and sleep will be easy.
We're also on the coast (South Pacific) and don't suffer as much as those living inland.

That's going a bit too far, sure some may recall I painted my garage floor white but you doing the complete back yard! :y15:

8.30AM you say, where's the sun? Sun comes up at about 5.00AM, yours is about 3.5 hours late.

ROTFL
The sun is up there somewhere behind the black storm clouds, but still low in the sky. As it gets a little higher in the sky it will brighten up more, but no sun expected today.

My friend from Horsham Surrey who was with us here in SA for December, just emailed me similar photos - blizzard and inches of snow by midday! She's wishing she was back here in 30c sunshine!

Steve good pics. That is too cold for me. I can do hot; but I hate cold.

That is same mentality here!

Ha, good one! The centre of the village is a conservation area, you have to apply to the Council for planning permission before you are allowed to do anything to your property. You even have to have planning permission to put up a TV aerial, or satellite dish!
