image.jpg69 650 Bonnie. Ok the exhaust and crank marks line up perfect, the problem is that the hash marks on the intake are both long. I have a original shop manual, in its description the inlet position should be on the long hash mark for t120 which is the latter of the 2 from the pic. Is this correct? Am I doing something wrong?

Check the notes at the bottom.

Note - the long dash is the lower of the two as you look at them, and as illustrated here. You have yours aligned with the upper tick instead of the lower one.

If it is hard to see which mark is longer, it is the one in the middle of the tooth, you are one tooth out, you are lined up with the short mark.
But I have the feeling you netted that out already.

Yep, thanks bullet, it is hard to see, if u look at the crank marks they are both short, but it takes a pretty good eye to see the difference on the intermediate gear. Might also be time for some new glasses on my part
