Steve I can give you some great places to see on Skye , are you coming up on the A9 or up through Aberdeen ?
Hi Shane, we are doing a clockwise starting up the west side, across the top and then down through the Cairngorms, so we do some of the A9 on the way down from Brora to Inverness, then the A9/M90 from Dunkeld to Queensferry. I would post a map but I haven't figured out how to do that yet!
The links show the routes though.
I would be interested to know about places to see on Skye, we have planned a full days ride around Skye.

Steve I will sort some stuff out for you , what day are you going thought the cairn gorms ? And are you going over the spital of glenshee and down to breamar .
If so I will try and meet you some were it will give me a good reason to get out on the bike.

Hi Shane, we are coming through the Cairngorms on Saturday 7th June.We will be coming through Nairn, Grantown on Spey, Tomintoul, past the Ski Centre, Cock Bridge to Ballater. Then the A93 through Braemar over the Spittal of Glenshee to Blairgowrie, then across to our Hotel in Dunkeld.

Awesome I could meet you at grantown and ride over to braemar with you , that'll be :y6: Funnily enough I'm going to grantown on spay this weekend with the caravan .
Hi Shane, yes that would be great! I have no mobile phone at the minute, but I will PM you the number when I get a new one.
I will have to work out timings to see what sort of time we will arrive in Grantown on Spey.

Well we had a great time in Scotland. We had all 4 seasons in 5 days, heavy rain, fog, hail, and warm sunshine!
The first 200 miles were very wet, so the camera did not see the light of day. After that it gradually improved with Friday and Saturday very warm and clear blue skies. There ended up with 5 of us on the trip, 2 Bonnies, 2 Scramblers, and a Can Am Spyder! They are awesome machines!
I will post some pics up later, but here is a video I have put together the trip.
