Rocky,

Do you have a scanner that you could scan the pages of this article and post them like pictures here someplace?
Yes, I can scan the article easily enough, but.....confession time....I still haven't learned how to post a picture here.
Send me your email in a PM and I can send them to you - or I can send them to Dave.
In the meantime, I'll do the scanning.

Rocky was kind enough to scan the pages of his Rider magazine and send me the photos to post-up here:

On the last page, the picture with the gas pumps is the Quaker Steak & Lube (original) in Sharon, PA.

I go there practically every Wednesday night when the weather is nice for their Bike Nite.

I've been to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania many times biking too. It's about an 1.5 hours ride from here.

It's always nice to see and read about your home area (state or province) from the perspective of other people.
I figured you would be quite familiar with most of the story which is why I brought this subject up.
Here in the east, which was first settled, there is so much history to see and learn in both our countries.

When he talks about the Quaker Steak & Lube in the article he mentions that he inadvertently parked in the section reserved for an "antique" bike show.

They only do that once a Summer, so I know what night he was there and, in fact, my T140 won 2nd place in the British bike class that night.

Isn't that wild!!
you may have rubbed shoulders with the writer and didn't even know it :y2:

Too bad he didn't take a picture of the antique bike contest section and put it in his article! My bike may have been shown as part of his article if he had.

As I said the antique bike contest is only held at the last Bike Nite of each season. I won a $25.00 gift card for Quaker Steak & Lube for taking 2nd place in my class.
