2011 Triumph America moving it from down the left side up to the handlebars say between the risers. Can this be done or is it to much fooling around to be worth it? would the harness be long enough? I'm handy with a soldering iron and wiring if I have do a cut and join. I hate it where it is I'm so used to it being in the front of me. I know it will happen one day that I'll forget the key when I'm filling up or just parking some place. There has been other threads about this but its been all about moving to the front of the frame or the other side but I was thinking if anybody here has put it up on the bars or there some place, thoughts?

It will require a lot of rewiring and soldering; but, yes, it can be done. Is it worth it? In my opinion , no. So many things can go wrong when you are relocating and splicing the wires of an ignition switch. My wife has a Can Am Ryker with the ignition switch on the left side. She, like most of us, is used to the ignition switch being in front of her. My advice to her is to get used it. You will soon acquire muscle memory to handle the new location and you will still retain the muscle memory for a more traditional switch. I have no problem switching back and forth from my Tiger to her Ryker.

Thanks for the reply. Think I'll give it a miss and put a lanyard on the key, I got all geared up the other day for a ride (it's winter here) sat on the bike then I thought "BUGGER" forgot to put the key in
