November 11th is Remembrance Day throughout the British Commonwealth of Nations.
It is a day to honour and remember, not only all those who have fallen in foreign wars to keep us free, but to thank and honour those who are presently serving our nations at home and abroad :Salute2:

Just noticed this - may be too late, but it's the thought that counts. I have had the honour of attending the Armistice Commemorations of the Last Post Ceremonies at The Menin Gate, in Ieper, Belgium, in 2014 & 2015. This year, I volunteered at the Passchendaele 1917 Amateur Radio Event Station (held for 5 days, finishing on the 10th November - official end of the 100 days of the 3rd Battle of Ypres, also known as the Battle of Passchendaele.) The Station is set up in a field next to Tyne Cot Great War British Military Cemetery, between Zonnebeke (where the Passchendaele 1917 Museum is situated) and the village of Passchendaele. The Station Call Sign is ON4PTC/p and the Club is looking forward to Worldwide Contacts again in 2016.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
