I thought that I would just revisit our roots at TriumphTalk for those that do not know this information.
Some years back I started TriumphTalk as I found that other forums felt the need to over moderate and delete post and opinions that did not quite conform to their own. If I remember correctly Carl was one of the very fist members that joined around that time.
We decided that we would like to see a forum that is not over moderated and people are able to express opinions, ride what bike they want and feel good about it. We started seeing others joining us that wanted the same framework out of a forum, a place to come relax and just kickback with other bike enthusiasts.
As time pasted we built up a small community and it seemed that we just had unspoken rules amongst the members where respect was the name of the game. Maybe this was also due to having old school bikes onboard. Ah yes back then we had a different outlook when it came to our biking brotherhood.
We also introduced various other areas for other interest as we realized that yes we all had one common interest biking. We were however also individuals with other interests so why not share these as well and learn more about what makes us all tick.
As we slowly grew so did our site seeing one of our biggest jumps ahead when we changed from a free forum hosting software to our own hosting package using the now SMF software. This in fact afforded a new window of different opportunities and facilities on our forum.
Like any society we also need rules ( https://www.triumphtalk.com/index.php/board,4.0.html ) to live by so we introduced a few, never really had to enforce them much and this is a credit to the caliber of members we have at TriumphTalk.
So folks that is it a short history on TriumphTalk a small community forum where we have made life long friends based on mutual respect of what we are. Hopeful we will still have many more people stopping by our small forum and realizing the same and we will make a few new good friends down the line.
