Quiet Boil technology

Well I am so glad I found this kettle as I am tried of my neighbours always calling the cops when I boil my kettle for making such a racket

That is what I hate about suburban life. I like to live where there are no neighbors to complain.

Yes, this is why I cannot understand why you would need a quiet boil kettle, I mean what noise does it make when it boils that would want you to need one anyway

I remember those old ones that had the train type whistle on them maybe then I can understand a quiet kettle being needed

We have a fairly new kettle and it has a very shrill whistle.
My wife has a habit of putting the kettle on and then going into the living room or sun porch to get off her feet. When the kettle boils you can hear it all over the house and it screams for a minute before she gets back to it.
You can hear it all over the house.
Because of her health she can't move very fast these days so I have to cut her a little slack, but it really gets on my nerves sometimes.
