You better ignore more than just one or two of these guys, anyway WELCOME to TT form Mississippi. Bonnie? Can't beat them they feel like a pure motorcycle and look like it too. I have always had one since my college days back in the 60's , and wish i had never sold any of them.

Sarah, the bags are Tourmaster slant 2 models - size large I think. I've had them for quite a while so check the Tourmaster web site for current models.
The K & Q seat doesn't give you any real back support as such, just a bit wider and softer.
Triumph OEM products are quite expensive so be prepared for some sticker shock - but it's quality stuff and looks great.

I would ride the bike for a while before you make a decision about the mirrors.

I bought my Bonneville in December 2005 and it sat at the dealer all winter until I picked it up in April. We get serious winter weather up here.
Once a month I would "visit" the bike over the winter and had the dealer install an accessory to spread out the financial pain BGRIN.

Rocky, thanks for the bag info. And I'll wait on any major changes until I've had the bike for a while. Thanks for the info!

I've never read anyone who says that they were happy they sold their Triumph. This seems to be a very common attitude, so I'm going to file that away for the future. I'll try to hold onto the bike that I have! Thanks for the welcome, too!

I think you will find the Bonneville such a joy and easy to ride that you won't want to part with it.
The engines are very strong and well built and seem to last forever. Engine problems are almost unheard of.
Just feed it fresh oil and filters according to schedule and ride it.

My mate has the 900 cc Thruxton, he always wanted a Triton back in his early days, but he decided to buy the Thruxton rather than a Triton for obvious reasons, reliability being one of the main factors. He loves it and hasn't changed much, I've put fork gaiters on for him, and that's about it really.

sarah, if you are going to pick up a new bike soon, make sure to ask them about incentives. I hear Triumph is offering $1000 voucher that can be used for anything, including accessories, if you buy within the next month or two. The incentives may be higher is certain areas. Look into it. I was offered $2500 when I purchased my bike a few months ago. I also placed an order for the new Thruxton R and was given a heated gear set. You may not get the same deals but you should get something. good luck!

Hi DRod, thanks for the heads-up. This was a used bike, but I did get half off of some Triumph saddlebags, and I am happy about that!

That $1000 voucher would be sweet to have --
