my fork tubes have some pits in them causing the fork seals 2 leak and not having a smooth ride as it should be, does anybody know when they can be refurbished at or any tricks that have worked? i see bikebandit.com has some on there website bit they cost just as much as i bought the bike for...and i see there is a place called franks forking! has anybody tried them and if they did how did it turn out? franks is likea 6 hour drive from me??

I can't comment on Franks Forks as to quality and reputation, but this company has been around for a long time which says something about his success. If he wasn't any good he wouldn't have stayed in business all these years.
Years ago I wrote to him about a fork problem and over the years he has sent me a catalog from time to time, but I never did buy anything.
He offers a wide range of services for a wide range of bikes. I would check him out.

Have you tried some 1500 grit water paper with paraffin first?

I saw some guy got them re chromed once, but it looked awful.

I have done this on quit a few occasions and it dose work as long as the pits are not to bad ! other wise its re chrome or new stations . or a good set of second hand ones !
