Hey everyone, just wanted to drop by and show everyone what I picked up yesterday. Got myself a 1973 trident. It was love at first sight. She has 23,000 miles on it. definitely needs some tinkering but runs beautifully. Leaks a little oil underneath but seems that the hose underneath just has to be tightened(fingers crossed) and when we checked the straps on the way home, the fork was leaking, so new seals are coming. She was hard to start at first when I went to see her, but she had been sitting for two months. After that though she starts right up every time. Anyway, just wanted to show her off a bit and show her as I work on her over the winter.

She's a bit of a "head turner", already!! Check those fork seals before you change them..........it may have only been the fact that they were under compression that caused the leak. I had that happen on a Yamaha that I owned after trailering it.
Just a thought: Jim

Now that is a proper bike right there.....and judging from the first pic a properly HAPPY new owner!

23,000 miles...........wow.....its not even broke in yet mate. my 05 has over 30,000. YOu gotta make up for lost time ;) RIDE MAN RIDE!
