I've had this vibration on my bike at speed for a while now so I thought I would take Angie in to get the wheels balanced, thinking, that this is the cheapest and easiest fix to try first.
I went to Tyreman in Boksburg and got her done in an hour due to a few people having similar thoughts.
On the way home I'm chilling on the highway, checking out the gridlock on the other side heading to the East Rand Mall. I get as far as the Tom Jones offramp when I notice a load of cars clumping up doing about 90km's. I decide to do a bit of lane splitting finesse until I get boxed in by a few cars. No problem, there's a space behind this one bakkie, so I pull in behind him.
Hmmm, I notice that he's dripping water.
No wait, that looks more like sand now. Not keen on getting Angie sand blasted I pull in a little closer to the bakkie.
Oh wait another minute... that looks like... like.... !%$^%@$^@!@!!!! me - Paint!!!! Oh !#$!%!$!!!!!!!!!!!
Sod this lark. Drop two gears and nail it through all the cars. I take the next off ramp which is the one I need anyways and as I stop I have a look at me bike.
I am COVERED in beige paint and so is the bike. #%^#^&#!!!! I wanna moer someone now!
The lights change and I forcibly calm myself down to at least get home in one piece.
That was this morning. I have only now, 19H45, finished getting most of the crap paint off my bike and kit.
It was everywhere....... radiator, tyres, engine, pipes, gloves, helmet, boots, jacket etc.....
Luckily I cover most of the metal bits with a silicone spray so it came off with a bit of polish.
I'm still pissed though.
Oh, yeah I nearly forgot - the vibrations gone now. :y115:
