Probably a nice boot, but I don't wear boots with laces on a bike.

I get the laces thing, but I own a pair and they’re brilliant. You can get the laces well tucked away so they won’t blow around and interfere with any parts. I’ve worn them through the winter here in north east-coast US, down to about 2 - 3 Celsius. And they’re about 95% good in rain. If it’s a terrible downpour they will get wet but then why would you ride in that anyway?
