Wow! I would be afraid to drive a tank there, much less ride a motorcycle!!
No obvious law enforcement there.
That reminds me of the cities in South America where we would stop for the night. Utter chaos.
I was always relieved to get in safely and get out safely.
We have a fairly disciplined way of driving in North America, but to survive down there you do what the locals do and forget all you know about the way we drive here.

I have also ridden and driven in Central and South America. The rule is he who has biggest vehicle has right of way! Riding in a taxi or a bus in Central and South America is a real treat!! And it is fun to be s a hooligan!!

When out on the roads you always need to keep a lookout for these guys and expect them to do anything.
Damn, I don’t believe I’d get on the road there. It seems there is near zero enforcement and any attempt is laughed at. Stay safe.
It has become more and more dangerous to ride bikes on our roads because of this. This was also why I decided to get a GoPro that I can also use as a dash-cam.
BTW the one with the biker making the Taxi go back went viral this side and they actually ended up arresting that driver.

What’s the licensing or certification process like for taxis?
Apparently just a pulse is required. Maybe being able to see is an added bonus.
Are they exempt from the same drivers licensing as other drivers? I’m having a hard time taking in what I saw.

Seems like a plausible explanation. It’s not exactly prudent.
Not exempt I would imagine, but strong competition and light law enforcement cause most of the mayhem.
