And anyone else near tampa Florida. (are you near tampa Carl?) If so, this may be of interst to you Carl. Apparently to some others in the states too, tho i don't see anything suggesting where else they will be. But 10 of them are planned and i gotta think one will be here in so cal as big a biker population as we have.

Ace cafe coming to america... http://www.bikeexif.com/ace-cafe

Pictures !!!! Hopefully because of the reputation maybe it will attract a lot of triumph and other more traditional brit bike instead of sporties and harleys. if not then it will be just another biker hangout. But i think at least in the beginning it will mostly be known to traditional brit bikes due to internet buzz in those type of forums. So if you go i'd make it as soon after the opening as possible befor eit goes "harley" !:y2:

On a trip to visit my Mom once in Bradenton, I decided to stop first in Orlando and take the kids to Disneyworld. We flew into Orlando, spend a couple days at the park and then rented a car to go to my Mom's.

I was really surprised at what a long trip it was between Orlando area and Tampa!!

It's about 75 miles from downtown Orlando to downtown Tampa and Largo, the site of the grand opening is another 15 or so miles. I live about 10 miles north of downtown Orlando. So it is a 100 mile trip for me one way. That is no big deal at all.

Carl ,
I am going , sent you a pm with my Ph#
and my email address
If you like a little break you could stop by my house ( Brandon fl )
for a coffee on last leg of journey then do about 15 -20 miles more
and ride over together

Coffee's free , but if you want a little sugar that will cost you extra :y24:
Best

Riding in a rental car with 3 kids probably made it seem even longer!! :y2:

Oh how familiar that is:y2:
But now that my kids are in their mid forties they often think back to those station wagon camping days and say what a good time they had.
When we get together they regale their spouses with our wild tales of the open road in that Ford Torino.
Those were great days and I remember them fondly.

I remember that trip like it was yesterday.....

The kids thought that they could just LIVE at Disneyworld for the rest of their lives. Needless to say, they weren't happy to leave and go visit my Mom.
