Looks like I may be getting a little extra time to spend here on TT. TUP Unfortunately it wasn't my decision to get that time, well sorta not my decision.

Of the 5 shift supervisor at the plant, 1 was promoted and the other 4 of us were demoted, sorta. The 4 of us loss our crews and we are no longer supervisors. We will still do the same job short of having supervisor duties but we did not see a pay decrease since we were all under paid at the supervisor level. We now, well once all the changes take place over the next 3 to 5 weeks, will report to our former peer. It's a tangled web of "Flavor of the Month" reorganization that hopefully won't be a disaster for the plant and company.

But that's not where I get my extra on line time I was talking about although it should provide more time since I'm back doing shift work. No, my extra time is coming from my right knee.

I haven't been able to ride due to work, the stinking weather on my days off, and my right knee. It was confirmed yesterday when I got the results back from the MRI I had done last week that I have a rather large tear in my right meniscus. I have the option to get a cortisone shot which should relieve the pain or I can have an arthroscopy of the knee which could relieve the pain. The tear is deep, below the level that will receive enough blood flow to promote self healing.

The cortisone shot would last 6 to 8 weeks and have to be done again. Repeated shots can lead to further damage so I elected to have my knee scoped.

The arthroscopy may not work but it has a better chance of working than repeated shots. I'm scheduled to have the procedure done on September 6th and will miss minimal days at work. I should have sometime to get caught up with everything that's going on here during that time. BGRIN

Once it's repaired and I get the short therapy sessions finished, I plan to ride, ride, ride and get back to providing a few videos, photos, and ride reports.

On my list of ride destinations are:

Bonnie and Clyde ambush site
Texas Hill Country
Piney Woods of East Texas
A lot more Courthouses
Find the site of the old Chicken Ranch
Vicksburg National Military Park and other War of Northern Aggression sites around the area
Hitting several of the TWT Pie Runs
And a bunch of others I have made plans for.

So look out, I'll becoming back with a vengeance. . . I hope. :y2:

Which Harvey? The rain event or the ankle bitter? :y2:

As of right now, both are to the south of us. We will be getting rain from the storm but depending on whether or not he makes the expected loop back into the Gulf as to how much we will get. They are showing we are on the edge of the 15 to 20+ inches of rain forecast. We might get lucky and only have 14 or fewer.
Our biggest issue with Harvey will be if he does go back into the Gulf and skirts the coast heading for Central Louisiana. This will be our biggest rain and wind event.

We have not received a lock down notice here at work but that may change tomorrow. We are just in the wait and see mode at this time.

Excuse my poor writing and drawing skills with a mouse.

It's hard to believe that you could possibly get 3 feet of rain in a couple of days.
It's hard to even imagine that!
In 2001, Tropical Storm Allison dropped over 40" of rain on us, most of it falling in a 24 hour period. I spent most of that 24 hours on our cooling water reservoir dam observing the flow thru our tainer Gates and adjusting flow as needed to control the lake level. I have never been that wet before or since Allison came thru the area TWICE.

Wow, when we get a couple of inches we think we're hard done by BGRIN

I'm seeing the updates on CNN. Such a shame that so much damage will be done and so many will lose so much.
Let's hope there are very few injuries and no deaths.
