Devo: "I dont fancy bags on my bike, but I always ................................"

At first I thought you were talking about your wife, then I saw that it was Gary who has a.................... dare I say it??? :silent: WIFE!!!! :y72:

We had our xmas gifts early; new camera for me, Bose thingy for Farside's computer sound system and other gadgets so our Xmas gift to each other was a week of the just the two of us in Mossel Bay with loads of new books and plenty of wine and the most amazing view ever. Then the kids arrived and all hell broke loose for the next 10 days. 12 & 15 - what an age. The weather wasn't that great so the kids were getting to be a handful. Finally decided to give them good reason to scream at each other and took them to the Tsitsikamma forest (near DaveM's part of the world), hooked them up into harnesses and sent them sailing through the treetop canopy of the forest. It was brilliant. Highest platform (attached to a Cape Yellow wood tree) is at 30 meters and the longest cable slide is 91 meters from tree to tree. All in, 10 slides across the forest canopy. What a blast! And it kept the kids somewhat subdued for the drive back to Mossel Bay. Yes, I did the tour with them and I'm not too crazy about heights and being suspended by a cable and pulley thing. But it was great. Next time, we're going to do the Storms River Canyon cable slide. Across the canyon, then over 2 separate water falls!

But all good things come to an end so it's back to work for me...........................tomorrow!

Gromit, sounds like you had a blast, and considering you were able to do it with your kids, that is great.
I imagine now you've had plenty of practice with your new camera, so we are looking forward to some cool pics of blasting
thru the treetops at 100 feet. :ya2:

We organised a camping trip with Big&Daft and the Littleloon who have camping gadgets like you can't believe! So our xmas present to ourselves was a heck of a nice tent.

We camped at Augrabies Falls, the Richtersveld and Port Nolloth. Got a stunning picture of a monkey with blue balls if I can work out how to post it, plus a dolphin jumping about 2 metres from the shore.

Lioness,
If you re-read your camera manual, you'll find its not compulsory to kick the monkey in the nuts prior to taking his pic. :ya2:
