Lets see 2" of sleet and ice last Thursday night, 12" of snow the next day, freezing temps until today the following Tuesday. I still have a foot of snow in my driveway. In fact, its so deep the undercarriage of my 4x4 Z71 Chevy Tahoe plowed out the center of the drive and this SUV has a foot of ground clearance.
I got out on Saturday (not on my bike of course) and there were more cars and trucks in the ditches than on the road; it was basically solid ice about 4" thick.
Oddly enough the weekend before the highs were in the low 60's here.
Some blame ozone depletion on this wierd weather, some blame global warming, I blame the girl scouts! It does same good.

G'day Gromit and the rest! Yup, doin just fine down here except some stupid twat pulled out from a car park on Monday night and side swiped me Trophy. then he had the bollocks to try to do a runner!!! Sorry mate, picked on the wrong person. I chased after him despite my left side pannier hangin off! Managed to get my Police badge out and waved it in his face.. He stopped... Said he didnt see me. 18 yr old kid. I thought the car was maybe hot and thats why he ran.. turns out he's uninsured... 
I called my mates in and they fixed him up but I still have to sort the damage. Broken Pannier, broken rear mudguard and cracked side panel. My insurance is chasin him up and he has a rather large fine to pay too!
That'll teach him eh! Don't mess with an off duty cop (especially one from Liverpool UK) on his Triumph...

Just heard from the Insurance Company. Bugger me! The tupperware on bikes these days is expensive!!! I still have to pay my $500.00 excess and I won't get it back until the insurance mob get restitution off the offending scrote who caused the accident!!! Good thing is, is the the paint will be new and the bike will be all shite and briny again
Until recentley, the bike was my only mode of transport but I purchased a small van not so long back for Susie's sheepskin seat cover business so I'm back on four wheels again for a while. And it's SUMMER here grrrrr.

Lee, I'm sorry to hear of your accident; but glad you were not hurt. I'm sorry about the bike; but at least it is repairable. Bully for you running the twerp down. He definitely picked the wrong guy! :y114:
Since February 1st, we've had 34 inches of snowfall.
It's global warming. The pandhandle had snow for three hours yesterday. It didn't stick though.

I'm not sweating here! I have not ridden in a week. First it was the rains and now the cold.
Add another 13 inches as of today....... with another big storm predicted for Monday.
At least it is sunny and I don't have to shovel white stuff.

We dodged a winter bullet yesterday, the storm stayed to the south, as far north as the Virginia peninsula. They got some accumulation down there.
They are calling for more rain & snow mix for tomorrow (Monday) evening, but it's supposed to be in the upper 30's F (around 4 C). Maybe it will help, rather than hurt, us.
I just happen to catch a small bit of the Olympics this morning, it's 50 degrees F (10 C) in Vancouver! They need to send our weather back, and take theirs back!
Only a little over a month to go until spring.
