I'm just not a 'winter' person. I'm so alergic to cold weather that if I eat an ice-cream, I've got put a jumper on! It's supposed to be summer here in SA and Jo'burg or "The Highveld" are acknowledged to have the best weather in the country. BUT....................it's been raining and raining and raining and raining for ages now. My garden is totally waterlogged, my dogs and cats are soggy messes, the storm water drains are overflowing and I've just had enough. I can't take this! I'm going 'stir crazy' here! And in total contrast, the Garden Route (about 1200k's from Joburg in the Western Cape province) is suffering an extreme drought and are on water restrictions!!! :y137:

Well according to the weather reports, such that they are, Jo'burg will continue to have rain, rain and more rain until at least Sunday! I think I'm just going to get comfy with some good food and bottle of the enhanced red grape juice!

Just thought I would let you know that we are still about 360 mills short of the wettest summer in20 years.
So hang on to your skirt because we are i for lots more

I love the rain.Could I be Irish ?

Yes, I was aware of that. That was a brutal cold and it set records. It has been that cold before - but not for that long. I am defintiely enjoying this mid 70 F weather!!!

We are at 55 deg F here, cloudy but not too bad. I just rode the Thruxton to the bank, sounded like a good excuse anyway. Going to rain later though. Hoping for a rain day at work tomorrow, I have some "Government" jobs that need doing.

I just checked the weather map, that front is HUGE! It stretchs from Florida to Vermont. Looks like we will get some more un-needed rain if we want it or not. The ground all around this area is mushy, for lack of a better word.

Yesterday morning (Sunday) I woke up to -15C(5F) which moderated to about -4C(25F) by noon. Today and tomorrow rain is expected, and then back to the deep freeze!
Talk about your yo-yo!!!!
