Personally I don't like the T100 "Pseudo Replica"
Triumph1959-2009.jpg

1 - I think that on the Bonneville the Gulf Oil colour combination blue/orange is too kitch for my taste

2 - Nine years later this colours looked much better on the Le Mans 1968 Ford GT40

And on the 1969 Porsche 917

Porsche even considered to produced a Gulf sponsered GP bike

But going back to the celebration Bonnie

I don't think that these 650 bikes will keep their already inflated value. Actually NOTHING keeps its value these days!

I still will prefer to have GP building me a 1969 Bonnie. For me that was the most beautiful Bonnie ever and actually the Hinckley Bonnie was inspired on it and not on the 1959 model.

This is a very tough question to answer or even guess at.
Personally, I would like to have one - just to have it. Whether it will hold value remains to be seen.
Like the old bikes of today that are so desired, in time this model may also be desired and command high prices - but that will probably be long after I'm gone.
If I had the opportunity to buy one it would be simply to own one and not be concerned about value now or later on.
Like JMV, I'm not that crazy about the colours, but......

Most special and limited editions of standard productions vehicles and motorcycles do not hold their value in the short run. Maybe years down the road, their value will increase. But who is to say the Bonnie will or will not? It is a crap shoot with odds against you. If one rides it, it will become just another used Bonneville in the near term. If one does not ride, drains the fluids and preserves it, that might be a different story.

Joao, I agree with with you that the 69 is the loveliest Bonnie produced. I like all of the 1960's Bonnies and would own any of them. I do like the replica T100 and, most definitely, I like the original including the colors.

To my mind, there is really nothing special about it. It's a T100 with a retro paint job, and a badge stating it is number whatever out of 650. Looking at it, it has standard equipment. If they had done a hotter engine with higher compression, wilder cams, bigger carbs (oops, I meant throttle bodies), or done anything to make it "SPECIAL", it would be worthwhile.
As far as the color scheme goes, my favorite is still the first year New Bonneville, the red and silver. Just like the '69!
My $.02 anyway.
