Nova Scotia - 16 killed by a gunman

Unfortunately, another rogue shooter is on the loose in Nova Scotia. No details yet.
This time in the area of Hammonds Plains, a bedroom community of Halifax.
What the heck is wrong with people lately?

Correction: it's in the suburbs of Halifax. Not Hammonds Plains. This ain't too far from Rocky.

This incident happened outside of town near where my daughter lives and where we meet for many of our club rides.
I haven't heard the local news yet this morning, but a provincial alert went out yesterday afternoon. They weren't taking any chances this time.
Last evening the alert was lifted, but no news about the incident. Maybe it was a hoax. I know people are pretty jittery now and very on edge.

A second "incident" occurred yesterday when a man was reported driving on the highway with a rifle.
The RCMP found him and pulled him over, but there was no rifle and no threat. The poor guy was stunned by the event.

Update:
The investigation turned up nothing so it was either a hoax or a mistake.
Whatever it was it caused a a lot of fuss and upset a lot of people and closed businesses.

Yes, people will be real jittery for a while. Turns out that two people were looking over an airsoft gun at the Canadian Tire parking lot to determine what kind of CO2 cartridges were needed before going into the store, or something along those lines. Someone saw them and called police. Had a lot of people on edge.
Will be a long time before the aftershocks of this tragedy diminish where people start to feel a little safe again.

Yes, that is all correct. The two men have been charged. Pellet guns are outlawed in the municipality and they had one out in public.
The nitwits should have done their "research" at home and left the gun there.

Time has moved on and we are now a little bit more knowledgeable about this terrible incident. Canada's worst 'mass' shooting. More of a shooting spree I suppose but that's semantics. The guy had to be unhinged.

The unfortunate fallout from this is that tens of thousands of legal gun owners are now going to become criminals.

We live in a crazy world.
