The first few post will be of the photos that won our photo of the month while it was still running.

Previous Winners

The winner of our March 2023 having the theme of "anything goes" was won by @RockyDS

My 2019 Scrambler 1200XE on the Forestry Trunk Road (Hwy 40), Alberta.

A beautiful day in Jun 2021 west of Corkscrew Mountain on a 160 km round trip from my house. The FTR is a reasonably well maintained gravel logging road in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

The winner of our June 2023 having the theme of "Reflections" was won by @solomon

So, nothing happens here without a lot of reflection. It can't be helped

Sitting in my armchair, reflecting on a composition for this month's competition, I noticed a strange pattern on the ceiling. Thought it might be Gasket the Snake's home's glass top. Looked too irregular. No, can't be, I thought, as I approached my project bike, waving hand above petrol tank.

It is! No further reflection needed.

The winner of our July 2023 having the theme of "Café, pub, bar, ice-cream parlour. Anything that sells food and/or drink" was won by @solomon

The Anchor Inn. Next to Tintern Abbey, built in 1131, which is behind me.

Had lunch there today, 19 July. At the inn that is. Not the abbey; Henry VIII destroyed that during the Reformation.

First proper outing in my Triumph leathers. Trying to stretch them, as a wee bit painful. Don't know who that is in my leathers; I've definitely got more hair than that, apart from not being so grey

Congratulations to @Allen B. photo no 7 for being Augusts winner with the theme being.

"An interesting sign, like at a border, a town or a tourist attraction"

In northern KY along the banks of the Ohio River lies a small town known as Rabbit Hash, it is a favorite stop for motorcyclists out enjoying the beautiful twisty backroads that wind themselves over the hills and valleys in nearly all directions. Less than 20 miles of interstate gets me to those twisty backroads and the Bonneville comes to life, rolling along gracefully like the road is an old friend. Riding into Rabbit Hash, the General Store is the first thing you see, followed by a view of the Ohio River, then a few shops and a grill, but the General store is the main attraction. It should be noted the people of Rabbit Hash have elected a dog as Mayor.

Theme "Animals, so anything with your Triumph and an animal in it"

At a bar I met an Irishman whose grandmother made this stuffed bear for him when he was a child. He’s taken it around the world, photographing it at many famous landmarks. Here is the bear on the back of my ‘68 T120R.

Stopped while waiting for a herd of bison to cross the highway north of Fort Providence, on the way to Yellowknife, NWT. 3,988 kms total for the round trip from my home in Alberta. 7 days riding with one day off sightseeing in Yellowknife. I never used the extra fuel I carried, or the bear spray, which you can see on my bike. Arriving in Yellowknife, the range to go was down to 3 kms!

After the recent wildfires, some of the communities on this route no longer exist. :-(

Nice shot .
I don’t know anything about those big displacement cruisers but am saddened that they are no longer in the line up . They are handsome machines and make so much sense . I believe they were reasonably priced as well . If I had one I’d be hanging on to it .
