Hello Folks! Allow me to introduce myself: Retired. Living in the boonies in the foothills of the north GA mountains with my bride of 48 years.
2 kids=6 grandkids. 1 fairly contemporary SUV, 1 almost "vintage" MB ragtop. 1 vintage Ford F-150. Have lately switched from fiddling with old cars to fiddling with motorcycles - the parts are lighter, you seldom lay beneath them on a cold concrete floor, you don't need a chiropractor after bending over the fender working in the engine bay. Plus - I have rediscovered from the days of my long ago youth how much dang FUN they are! Recently, I added my 4th bike - a 2012 Triumph Bonneville T100, to the other 3 - a 2009 Royal Enfield Bullet 500, 2012 Honda NC700X, and a zippy little Suzuki TU250X. I have already enjoyed several rides on my Bonnie, I am beginning to think the other bikes will not see nearly as much action as before. Over the years (quite a few!) I have owned and enjoyed more than a dozen motorcycles, most of them different makes and models. I am blown away by the Triumph! Discounting the usual "honeymoon" period with new bikes, I have to say that it is by far the best handling, best riding, best looking motorcycle I have ever owned!
I look forward to learning a lot from my new pals here on the forum. I will contribute when I can do so intelligently (rarely), but will wait, look, and listen a while before then.

welcome back! i was off "bikes" for years then too much "coolaid" bought a hardly porkster, looked good but thats it, then i dumped it for a 2012 bonnie, best move ever, so much smoother than my 70 T120R. i tested + should have bought the T100 but on its sporty looks bought the cramped mag wheeler, now gone for an 18 T120 that i truely enjoy!! its good to live away from traffic + cell phone users!!! i ride away from traffic + only in the daytime for safety, enjoy yourself + ride safe. MCRider.com is a good place to refresh riding skills IMO!!

Cool! We live in N. Ga as well, been here 3(almost) years. Love it here

We love it too. It is a beautiful spot. My wife's only complaint (well, maybe not the only one) is that we are more than 25 miles away from the nearest Publix Supermarket! Which is just fine with me. The further away we are from everything, the happier I am. I have noticed that in the last 10 years, traffic in the area, and especially on the highway off of which we live, has increased enormously, and there is construction going on everywhere. Oh well - progress?

Right? I think everyone is fleeing ATL. Closest Publix for us is about 45 miles. It’s ok! Beautiful up here and great roads ;-)
