Just in case your national networks haven’t been keeping all of you up to speed . Newfoundland is getting hammered with the worst storm in a few generations. 75 cm + , that’s 6 feet , of white stuff and up to 150 km winds ,about ninety mph. My thoughts are with them , perhaps we have some members from Newfoundland that could elaborate on conditions.

The TV pictures of the storm are stunning to say the least.
I don't think we have any members from Newfoundland.
It's cool that the three Maritime provinces are represented here though TUP

I took these pictures from a post on Facebook.

This one is especially funny.
He opens his garage door and his snowblower probably has a heart attack BGRIN

Good piece of video. That pretty well covers it.
We had a similar storm in 2004 and my street wasn't cleared until three days later. I didn't lose power or telephone and the pantry was full so we just settled in and waited.

I'm in Alberta. No extreme snow but it was chilly a couple of days ago ...

Good thing we have global warming, otherwise we'd really be in the poop! Where's Greta?

Hope everyone stays safe we had similar in 2009 snowed for 3 months everyday with -24 c , but that’s nothing compared to what they are going through I hope it blows over soon .

Our seven staight days of 80 F temps has come to a screeching halt. Nothing like the temps our northern friends are experiencing, but our high temps will only hit about 60F and our lows around freezing. North central Florida will have wake up temps below freezing for the next two days.

So now the price of oranges will be going up . You still have an orange industry there I hope ?
The citrus should be fine. In fact a little cold weather makes the citrus sweeter. It takes a hard freeze, temp of 28F/-2 C for over two hours to hurt the citrus. By the way,m our cold air is coming straight from Canada!
