Hi guys thanks for letting me into the forum. I’m about 75 years old and I’ve wanted a Triumph Bonneville since I was about 19. My last bike was 900 Yamaha Seca but that was over 10 years ago. My new bike is a 2007 America in mint condition and I’m just getting used to it. Appreciate any help you guys can give me when I post a help question.

Thanks everyone. I grew up in western NY. Now in Oregon.
I recently noticed that if I take one hand off the handlebars, I get a serious wobble in the front end. Any ideas?

I was a bit hasty suggesting above. First see if there's something wrong. I'd check
# wheel rim is true
# tyre isn't askew on rim
# headstock isn't over or under tightened
# handlebars are properly bolted on
# there's nothing tugging or obstructing handlebars

As pointed out earlier it’s usually a tire/wheel problem . But .. worn steering head bearings or new ones that have been over tightened to a point where the the needles have crushed the race is a common cause also . Get the front wheel of the floor slightly and move the bars around slowly . If there’s a sweet spot the bars like to settle into that’s a sign of that issue . If it has those cheap little needle / flat washer style replace them with the tapered roller bearing type . They can withstand a bit of over exuberance when being torqued up and will last as long as you own the bike
