That new BMW looks like a king sized scooter in the photo. I do not care for that look.

I believe it IS a scooter and it's for getting great fuel mileage. It's much like the Honda Silverwing scooter my Brother bought.

Last year I road tested a Honda 600cc scooter and was very impressed by it. The salesman at our local dealership is a good friend and brought it by for me to try out.
Other than the fact that it's a "scooter" and not a "manly" machine to most riders, it's a great ride and has a lot going for it - smooth, quite fast, storage and weather protection.

They take some getting used to.

You might recall how my Brother embarrassed me completely when I went along to buy his Honda scooter.

I'm still scarred for life from that experience!!
