Hi Jack. I've seen your posts at BA and the tbird forum. I asked a few Q's at the tbird forum but forgot to go back and see if you answered but i will right now. Any new thoughts on the bike now that you've spent a week or so with it?

Well i just found something interesting.......a dealer only about 10 miles from the dealer i have a deposit with had 2 Tbirds, sold 1 and has another one coming. I think i was right in thinking my dealer wasn't going to tell me when they get them in. I bet they have mine already but want to keep it to themselves for a while like i have heard many dealers are doing. So i'm going there this weekend and if they have it they darn well better take my money and deliver it !

Well, i hope Jack answers you cuz i'd like to hear more. But he's the one i quoted as saying at another forum that you can take it down to walking speed in 4th and it will try and rip your hands off the bars all the way to 90. Might be a little exaggerated i imagine (but please tell me it's not Jack ! :)) but i think it gets the point acroos that it's got some torque. :y115:

Dazco I assure you I'm not over stateing the tourque of this thing.I got a email from triumph that my ride was on it's way to the dealer a week befor he called.Ifound that when the atomatic radiator fan kicks on the first time at a stop light it's a bit unnerving but ya get use to it.I put midgrade in it on the way home from the dealer, have sence read the owners book ,it says regular so the next tanks have been that.Seems to run fine on it. :y18:

I won't be getting a email from triumph because i didn't pre-order. My dealer preordered a few of them and allowed me to put a refundable deposit on one. So i have to count on my dealer to be honest with me. But the same owner has 2 stores and i called both of them a couple hours ago and they both told me they had no birds but were emailed by triumph that they'd be there in 1-2 weeks. So i think so far they haven't deceived me and i hope to be on one in 2 weeks max. (hopefully one....fingers crossed)

[/quote]Welcome to the site Big Jack, I sat on a blue model last weekend and they're a nice looking bike for sure. Is this the first water cooled bike you've owned? because your right about the first time the cooling fan kicks on, somthing you'll get ues too. Most water cooled bikes tend to get where the cooling fan doesn't kick on quite as much once the motor gets broke in after a couple of thousand miles. When the fans does kick on do you notice any air flow of hotter air around your legs and upper torso, while sitting at a stop?

This bike is very very cool, I want one but right now that is just out :y25:

Thats right ! Dave is a bit younger than me anyways, so if he waits a couple years he will still get it a few years younger than I, plus he will have a bike with bugs worked out and no doubt there will be red ones by then ! Wish i could wait a couple years, but if i did i'd explode for sure. :ya2:

Yes,Arkyrider this is my first water cooled bike. When the fan kicks on at a stop you feel some warm air along your legs. It's not that uncomfortable even in this 90 degree heat wave we'er in.Besides it all goes away as soon as you starte moveing. Thank you all for your kind coments about my new bird.MaelyneS,I road a rig for 17 years befor my son decided it wasn't cool to hang with mom&dad.
