I am retired but with a part time job at a local independent shop in OKC, OK. We work on mostly older stuff and Ducati's. A customer brought us a low miles 2017 Street Twin with a shifting problem, and we struck a deal so now it's mine! I have been riding fifty years, ouch, mostly air head BMW and Yamaha xs650's, Looking forward to the forum.

Yes, it was owned by a guy in the Joplin Missouri area and they apparently don't have a dealership close by. The bike is stuck in fifth gear. My boss had done this job before. When we get to it I will be glad to take pictures and send in stories.

Welcome from sunny North Texas. I've owned and refurbished many an XS 650 over the years. The last two (71 X1 and a 72 X2) were both purchased by a dude in Australia. Last year sold my last two remaining Yammies locally:

I rode a customer's Thruxton 900 and loved the handling and power but not the riding position. Looking forward to riding the Street Twin when we get it finished.
