Got my first bike in 1967 when I used my scholarship money, which was meant to buy books, and bought a Honda 50. I lived in Sydney then. Great for riding to school. And the pub on Friday night. (I studied hard!) Got into Yamahas ( 2 strokes) and had a few, road bikes and dirt bikes. A few years down the track I bought a Ducati 860 in 1975. Wow. What a blast. I lived in Canberra by this time so being close to many country roads was great. I took off into the open spaces, enjoyed lots of country towns and just loved the riding.
Next came a family so the riding took a back seat. I still have the Ducati. Now I also have a Triumph Bobber Black. Such fun. It gives me such a lift.
I am over 70 now but riding still gives me such a buzz. I am please to have survived all these years with just a few scars.
I love the Bobber's single seat. No passengers. The wife stays at home. Just me in the wind.
I am currently getting my hands on some accessories, like a screen, a radiator protector, luggage rack.

Hello and welcome to TT from the east coast of Canada BBEER
Lots of friendly folks here, and many in your age group, so jump right in and enjoy.
I vacationed for a week in your lovely city and had the time of my life TUP

Thank you for the warm welcome. I forgot to mention that while I loved Canberra (everything is so convenient) I moved to Melbourne- work took me. So born and raised in Sydney, early adult life in Canberra (and 2 kids) and "mature" life in Melbourne. (I don't like admitting to being mature. Still a kid at heart.)
