Anyone out there have the info on color identifiers for camshafts on Hinckley triples? Bought a '96 thunderbird that has a modified air box and what I believe is a full DynoJet carb make-over. Checking valve clearances, noticed green paint markings on cams. Bike runs really strong, big mid-range. Better than other same year, same bike. Cam swap is definite possibility, seeing as to other modifications. Anybody know color code markings on Thunderbird "Sport", Tiger, Trophy cams?

Not sure on your bike but my 98 Trophy 1200 had green paint on the cams but dont ask me were it was quite a few years back !.... but i do remember there being paint marks .
Stumbled across a good bit of info on "RAT" website on cam swaps. Turns out that 'green' cams are Trophy/Sprint/Speed Triple fitment. Accounts for why this bike feels so strong! (comparedto stock other bike). With DynoJet carb kit, runs really good!!!
