True. The only comforting thing about motorcycle stats is that the majority of deaths are due to people who do things like that. It may not have been a big mistake, but it isn't the size of the mistake, it's the result. So if you are a very aware and vigilant rider your chances of dying from natural causes are infinitely better than most riders. And i gotta say, i know some here ride in wet and even snowy conditions, but i really believe thats a mistake. It's doable, but i think you gotta agree it's probably 10 times as dangerous if not more. And certainly to ride in those conditions it's only a matter of time if you don't take extreme precautions with every move u make.

I do quite a bit of winter driving and I could instantly see his mistake. You don't do stuff like that when it's snowy!!??

A big mistake that he made was being too close behind the truck (sitting blind) then getting out from behind and instantly into the action. We don't have conditions like that but even so I still leave an extra large gap when behind trucks.

With an even better gap in slippery conditions! Why he just whipped out around the truck in front just stupefies me???

Dale, I am one of those who rides in wet conditions. I don't like it; but sometimes I just get caught in the rain. You are right; it is much more dangerous than riding on dry roads. I slow down keep my distance from the vehicle in front of me and I am very aware of what it is going on around me and behind me. The dude in the video was just plain stupid.
