I have hearing aids (marginal hearing loss) that I use if involved in important conversation. Point being, in Australia red spot (hidden from view) is for right ear and blue for left.

Sent using mental telepathy because I'm in teleportation mode at this time.

Good point. I don't know what the standard is here other than what was used at the plant. I may have to check into that here to see what/if there is a standard here.

I wonder, could it be because we drive on the right side of the road? :y2:

I have used moulded ear plugs now since I went to the 1990 Isle Of Man TT. Being on a camp site, it wasn't the best place to get a good nights sleep. So I trundled off to the local chemist and bought a few pair. What a result a good nights kip. So I thought I'd give them a go on my bike, never been on the bike without protection in my ears since. I was fortunate enough to have my ear protection made for me by BAA the company I used to work for, for free, as a result of working outside on the Apron at Gatwick Airport. I still have them, and still use them. They are very comfortable and you can still hear what's going on around you. They are not cheap, but what price do you put on your hearing.
I have put the website of this company below, so that any UK members who are thinking of buying some ear protection can contact them, I don't know if this company has any outlets word wide.
If anybody is in doubt about ear protection, and having to pay a lot of money for the privilege, cast your doubts aside, they are well worth it.

Garry, are yours colour coded for L and R?
Not a big deal but I suspect we may have a convention to make right red or red dot and left blue.
I was on motomatters.com today and saw a photo of Chaz Davies with blue in left ear. My aids are coded that way also.

No, mine as you can see are not colour coded for left or right, but are Red throughout. I don't know if this is a higher grade of protection for airport use or not.

I did make sure that these plugs were clean before posting them on this forum :y24:
