I have satellite radio and enjoy listening to the radio classics from the 30's to the 60's.
As a kid growing up on a farm in the 40's I listened to the radio shows coming in from the USA. Sometimes the receoption wasn't that good, but I pressed my ear to the speaker to catch every detail.
These days, as an adult, I appreciate how well those shows were done and how entertaining they were - and how many big-name movie stars did radio.
I get a big kick out of the western, detective and police shows such as Gunsmoke, Texas Rangers, Dragnet, Have Gun, Will Travel, The Shadow, etc.
