We spent a couple of days with my daughter and her husband who live 20 minutes outside of town and had our Christmas with them.
We then bundled up on Christmas Day eve and I took everyone to a hotel in town for some Christmas dinner. This gave the cooks in the family a break and a chance to be waited on as part of their gifts. It was certainly a hit and something I think will become an annual tradition.
And of course Santa spoiled me as usual :ya2:

The wife and I had a wonderful day visiting with all the kids and grand kids. We topped the day off with visiting her brother, he is back from Afghanistan for the holidays.
It was such a nice day, I didn't even mind the snow covered ground. Hopefully the rest of that will melt away today!

We spent Christmas Eve day, Christmas Day, and yesterday helping my sister and brother-in-law pack and load two trucks. They are moving from the Jacksonville area to Norfolk, VA - they had to go where the job was. They should be own their way as I type this.

Norfolk is about 150 miles from me. Let me know if you ever come up to visit them Carl, maybe we could meet up for lunch or whatever.

I will do that, Dave; and I will be up there to visit. When I come up that way, I'll load my Bonnie in the truck.

Now that sounds like a plan. Give me a shout a little ahead of time and I'll take some time off work. I'll have vacation time to burn this coming year, it's the big 25, and I get maximum vacation (6 weeks). My wife only gets 2 weeks.
