I had all my bikes preped for winter and inside by halloween night.
Some of my friends keep a bike gassed and ready to go until as late as 1 December, but that's getting too late for me. A few even keep a bike ready all winter.
Last winter my buddy Carl rode on 1 January :y13: :y13:
They are hoping for a warm spell or even a day so they can ride for a couple of hours through November. To me, it's not worth it.
But yesterday and all this week a wave of warm southern air came over us due to a jet stream shift and will be 15C (59F) during the day every day before dropping back to a more normal 6-7C by the weekend.
I know some of my buddies are out there on their bikes, but it is what it is, sigh :y1:

That jet stream shift is keeping me off the Tiger today, we have rain headed this way due to the shift and ahead of that rain we have moisture coming from the gulf causing some showers. It's more like a spring/summer weather pattern, except for the freezing temps we will be having for the next two or four days.

And that's not even the rains that are headed this way, this could be a great day for us here in the Desert of East Texas, formerly called the Swamp.

Rocky, maybe you should keep one ready to ride until December. You could take advantage of those few days or relatively warm ( I use the term "warm" loosely :y2:) weather.

The weather is still crazy warm at 15C (59F) for this time of year.
After we left breakfast this AM (4C (39F) when we arrived at 8:30), 4-5 of my buddies were going home to get their bikes and for a ride in the PM.
Yes, in the future, maybe I should keep one bike out - just in case.
The reason I pack it up so early is that I don't want to be stuck putting a bike to bed when the weather suddenly turns very cold and stays cold.

We've had some really great unseasonably warm days lately too Rocky.

I went to take the T140V out though the other day and when it started, it was only hitting on one cylinder. Couldn't figure out why at first. Then I saw a puddle of fuel forming underneath it.

Now the OTHER carb decided it was going to do the same thing as the other one did a Month or so ago.....must be another bit of grit causing the float to not close-off the flow into the bowl.
