The other day I posted a message about a one million dollar winning lottery ticket that was not claimed.
This time I have a better story.
A small manufacturing plant in Ottawa, Ontario, was shutting its doors due to the recession and had just handed out layoff notices to the workers. Amost none of them has any prospects of another job and their futures looked bleak.
The following day a pool of 18 workers won 7 million tax-free dollars on the national lotttery.
Talk about your good and timely luck!!!
Divided 18 ways they won't get an insane amount of money in one lump, but it will certainly make the future look brighter for that group anyway.
They were interviewed on TV and seemed to be sensible about their win - no flashy cars, yachts, etc., but they will pay off their mortgages and debts and manage the rest wisely.
Let's hope they stick to that plan.

I once read the results of a survey, people were asked how much additional money they required to make them happy. Twas a long detailed presentation but in short the people who made say $25,000 PA figured $5,000K would make them happy. Those on $50,000 PA said $20,000. Those on $100,000 said another $100,000. It was a case of the more you have the more you think you require. Bring on the peoples revolution, but stop just short of me with the rolling of heads.:y13:

I told my wife that if I ever buy a ticket and then should happen to win all I want is a new Tiger XC and my garage back or a new garage and she can keep the one she stole from me.
