Well, I finally bought a new (2012) T-100, having traded in my '02 Trophy 1200, which finally got a bit too cumbersome for me, considering my "advanced years and decrepidness". Love the bike and can't wait to take it to Daytona.......right Carl? So, about me: I've been riding since 1969. have been married to "SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED" for 43 years, 2 daughters, 2 grandsons and still "working for a living". Unfortunately, the weather up here in the Northeast is not conducive to year 'round riding, and if I can ever get SWMBO to make the move, it'll be FL for us. One of my daughters lives there, and my son-in-law rides, as well, I also have a great friend in Carl, and I'd like to add a lot more miles with both of them. I'm going to keep working on her..................that's all I can say. Anyway, that's about all there is to tell, but feel free to ask any questions you like. Gotta go now, UPS just delivered the new saddlebags for the Bonnie.........

As always, your faithful and loyal "village idiot": Jim

Welcome from one village idiot to another. Fortunately we aren't competing for dominance of the same village otherwise we'd be seeing big trouble.

Welcome from Alabama.
Congrats on the new bike, and bags. I guess since you know Carl we will let you in, but if you hadn't mentioned him there would be some serious "hazing" going on. :y15:
We need pics of that bike.:worthless:

HOWDY Jim!!!

Take the Missus (SWMBO) on a few Florida cruises.....

She might take a liking to Carl's neighborhood......

It COULD work out......... :y2:

Jim, a hearty welcome to Triumph Talk. Glad you joined with us. Congratulations on that new T100. You are going to love that bike. It is like owning and riding and an updated version of your Tiger 650. I'm looking forward to seeing you and your lovely wife - and your new T100 - in March!

Thanks, one and all, for the warm welcomes; as it's snowing outside now, they are really appreciated. Just to add a bit more to "me": some of you "northeasterners" may know and remember me from my days as a "bootleg journalist" for the Motorcyclist's Post newspaper, which came out of CT. I wrote for them, covering meets and open houses for about 14 years. I hope our paths have crossed at one time or another. Also, if any of you went to Moto Market, I was one of the "world's oldest juvenile delinquents" who regularly was in attendance on weekends. It helped to have a wife who's an 11:00 to 7:00 nurse.
