Just another biker has lost his life
Now I’m a widow no longer just his wife
You may not have know him, how much he’ll be missed
Said goodbye to me with one last kiss
You think they’re all bad, they’re all just the same
But a loved one was taken and who was to blame?
Now fellow road user, I beg and I pray
I will miss Dave forever, what more can I say
I cry out to you to do what is right
When you’re out on the roads to always Think Bike.
See he was not just my husband but also best friend
And the question remain, why did his life have to end?
He leaves both his parents, his children and wife
All of us here will remember his life
He was such a good man, a heart made of gold
I feel so alone, I feel empty and cold
I wish I could change that fateful day
I had so much I still wanted to say
So next time you’re driving, please look all around
Please listen and hear that motorbike sound
That rider is special, a husband or dad
Don’t be to blame for making a family sad
I know there are bikers who make other mad
They race and they wheelie, they think they are rad
But please don’t be foolish, spiteful and dumb
Will you dry the tears of a grieving mum?
DO what is right, THINK BIKE.
