I was able to escape from work early Saturday had figured I had just enough time to ride up and spend some time with a great love of my life... (Mt Rainier) I get the same chills going up to visit her as when I first met her. A lot of these pictures will look just like pictures I've posted before but I took them again anyway..:)

I road over Chinook Pass to a great little restaurant called "Whistlin Jacks".
From there I reversed course and headed back over the pass.

First, a couple from Tipsoo lake at the top of Chinook Pass.

Next stop was Sunrise ( Sunrise - Mount Rainier National Park (U.S. National Park Service) )

These are from the roadside vista just before reaching Sunrise.

In this shot of peaks at the base of Rainier you can see to the far left, Mt Adams in the distance..

From the vista looking directly back down the road I had just ascended toward the mountain.

Here are a couple from the parking area at Sunrise

Beautiful area you live and ride in. TUP

The more I look at the photos the more I think it wouldn't be safe for me to ride there. I would be watching the scenery and miss the next curve.

I know what you mean Hemi, I've had too many close calls with running off the road for that reason.:)

Thanks all for the nice comments. It truly is a place of beauty (when the clouds part) and I couldn't be more grateful to have had the chance to experience it.

Thanks Carl. One would have to try hard not to get a good picture up there. It's just a matter of pointing your camera in any direction and clicking. Hopefully you will get your wish and ride it again soon .

Jerry you said, "A lot of these pictures will look just like pictures I've posted before but I took them again anyway".

You're kidding right, these are not just pictures but rather, fantastic pictures. I for one will never, repeat never get tired of seeing the pictures that you post from that part of the world that you live in. To me it's just perfect, it's got everything that being on a bike is all about. I'd run out of of space on my memory card if I were there.
It's always a pleasure to see your photos that you take, they are just brilliant.
WOW:y154::y154: Oh yes did I mention that I liked them ???

That is such a true statement. I hope to have found a lost camera that has half the pictures I took on my two rides last summer through parts of Washington and Oregon. I may get something posted on those rides soon, Finger crossed!

Here is a preview. One of the Oregon coastline from just above Cannon Beach.

Nice shot. I have not seen the coast in Oregon; but I have traveled the length of the Washington coast. It is lovely and there areas where the beach is nice. However, the water is WAY to cold for me.

Thank Carl, and yes, I agree! Anyone that wants to spend any time in it, surfing and whatnot, wears a wet or even dry suite. But it is a beautiful coastline and well worth seeing. I have a friend that likes to travel to Thailand yearly and spend 3 weeks on the beach. He sends me lots of pictures and much of that coast looks like the Oregon coast on steroids but with 85 to 90 F water temps. Much more suitable for us..... I just can't get there on motorcycle.. :) .

Not without some major modifications! BGRIN
