Jason DiSalvo has returned to AMA Pro Competition for 2012 aboard the Latus Motors Racing Triumph Daytona 675R. On March 17, Jason lined up on the starting grid at the Daytona 200 intent on becoming the first Triumph rider since the legendary Gary Nixon to take the checkered flag. In honor of Nixon, DiSalvo's bike was painted to match Nixon's Triumph Triple, and Jason sported leathers emblazoned with Nixon's #9. Jason finished a close second in the 200, after closing a 10 second gap to the leader over the last 10 laps of the race.
