This is a Thanksgiving holiday long weekend in Canada. I don't know if there are any fellow Canadians on here or not.
I just got back form a turkey supper with all the fixin's with the family at my daughter's house. Her husband is a fantastic cook, but I carved the turkey

We have plenty to be thnkful for. We live in a great and prosperous country and have all the benefits and freedoms you could ask for.
My wife has medical problems that are under control and I'm a little banged up right now, but otherwise we're a pretty happy and healthy bunch.
Yes indeed, we have plenty to be thankful for.

Beat me to it Harry, Rocky cheered my day reading such a positive post. Will ruin Devo,s day when I visit him and drink his bottle of beer he has had since VE day. :y18:

Thanks for the good wishes everyone :y115:
In my post I forgot to wish a happy Columbus Day to all my American friends.
The reason I bragged about carving the turkey is because I did it with my injured right arm and hand - and I didn't make a mess of it!!
Progress is being made!!!!!!!!!!!!
The weather has been a perfect sunny October weekend at 16C (61F). My wife and I spent Saturday at our lakeside cottage as we prepared to close it up for the winter.
The Loons have left for the winter so the lake was very quiet but the leaves have turned glorious colours. It's our quiet little piece of paradise away from the city.
Because of my injuries we didn't spend much time there this year. I missed all of July, August and most of September, but there is always next year.
The same goes for motorcycling. There is always next year.

Hey there, Rocky,
Glad to hear that you had a good Thanksgiving. With all you have been through this year, you certainly deserved nothing but the best.

Not to mention that your attitude toward all of the adversity is something to be applauded heavily. Congrats again, and, as you said, there is still next year for the other things.

Bob
