It's 4C (39F) and I was just sitting outside in a light jacket on my south facing deck. The heat from the sun is very strong and warm on the face - and this is February in Canada? There must be some mistake :y2:
We've had a few quick dips into very cold temps at night, but that only lasts for 24 hours and it's back up above freezing. The lakes should be frozen solid with people skating everywhere, but not this year!
Very little snow that only took a few scoops to clear and then it soon melted. No snow in sight at all or for the past several weeks.
We're loving it of course, but this isn't normal at all.
However, all that said, a storm front is moving across the USA with us in its sights, so Saturday into Sunday might be a bit messy. A few degrees one way or the other and it can be either rain, freezing rain or snow.
Oh well, whatcha gonna do :y2:

The past few winters have been pretty darn cold with tons of snow.....so having one like this after those is a welcome relief.

I just am hoping that we don't pay for it in May and June with snowstorms!!

We are having an odd winter too. It was very mild and very wet, right through November and December with only one overnight frost.
The last week we have had snow, temperatures down to minus 10 C, and yesterday we had freezing rain.
We do not get that very often, but yesterday the roads were lethal! There was over 100 car crashes in Cumbria yesterday!
I drove from Kendal to Carlisle on the M6, and I saw 16 wrecked cars and 2 overturned artics, it was not safe to go any faster than 30mph.
Must be all this global warming!:y15:

I got some good riding in today with a high of 76 F. That is coming to a screeching halt. That storm AJ mentioned is bringing us rain and the low Sunday morning will be 38F with a high of only 57 F. Brrrr

Rocky,

You just HAD to post this thread yesterday didn't you???

Because you mentioned how mild and snowless this Winter has been, I awoke to a winter wonderland this morning!!!
I figured you knew it was coming as you're on the flight line for most storms that come from the south west, and then pay us a vist 24 hours later.
It's iffy as to whether this will be a rain or snow event for us. What happens overnight will tell the tale when the temp goes down.
Right now it's 4C with light rain.

We dodged a bullet here on the coast with only heavy rain, but it did turn to freezing rain overnight and is probaby pretty slippery out there this morning at -6C (21F).
No snow though so that's a blessing.

Low this morning was 36 F / 2.2 C and the high was only 54 F / 12.2 C. It will gone down to 34 F / 1.1 C. By mid week, we will be back into 70's and low 80's F.
