Last evening our vintage bike club held their Christmas party at the home of a club member.
When this club member built his new home 12 years ago, his intention was to have the basement as a place to house his extensive collection of mostly British motorcycles and memorabilia. He certainly was successful in doing that. This is only a small portion of his collection. All are roadworthy and there are no empty engines, but only 3-4 are on the road each year so they are primarily a static collection.
This one is in his living room and is decorated for Christmas.
Every year we hand out annual awards for Hard Luck (mechanical issues on a club run - rarely given these days); Most Avid Classic Rider of the year; President's Choice for contributions to the club, and Most Valuable Member - voted on by the members - the very large cup and I was the recipient this year. It was gifted to our club and is from the 1940's to the 1970's when that club disbanded. The trophy was refurbished with a new base and all the plates from those days kept.
