Is SA Internet Broken?

Over the last few days I am really battling with the internet. It seems so slow and at times just not loading the pages. On my Blackberry MTN it loads but not the images. Telkom SA just had nothing first thing this morning. Afrihost Internet Solutions seems about the best so far. Anyone else having an issue.

At first i thought it may have been just my connection but since it is following me around I thought it may be the international links again

Yes, I got a message from my ISP yesterday that there are problems with the internet - something about the under-sea cable again

Ok this is why my Afrihost connection seem to be working different cable

It only sucks not seeing any of the images loading on my phone

That is why I hate browsing the internet on my phone. I rarely do it.

It works great normally but with the connection being faulty I suppose they blocking images to save what bandwidth is available right now.

That is a good possibility. I never know whether the problem are my tight security security settings or external.

I heard on the TV news that a hacker group took credit for the outages but then Go Daddy said that was false and that it was technical problems with hub servers that caused it

That would only be with them and we are not being hosted by them. This is the international link from SA that is faulty.
