i noticed i had two bulbs burn out behind the seedometer and tach so i did some research and found replacment blue LED and when i turned on the lights the 10a fuse blew and then a 15a fuse blue so I put 20a fuse in and the stay on with no prob, has anybody done 5he led upgrade? Should I be worried about anything going wrong? cause i see the stock fuse is a 10a..thanks

I'm not sure what else is on that circuit besides the instrument lights that you switched? If that's all that's wired to that fuse and they stay on, you're probably OK. I suspect however there is more.

I changed from bulbs behind my warning lights to LEDs on my '96 Trophy because I couldn't see them when the sun was shining from behind me. Mostly, it was the turn signal lights that bothered me. But I switched them all to LED without any problem.

I know that the instrument lights such as speedometer and tach are hooked up to the brake light because I blew a fuse a little while ago but I wanted to be safe and not start a fire and ruined my bike, cause like iI said I had the stock 10a fuse moved up to a 15 that blew and moved up to a 20a and it stayed on.... thanks for the help...

I think you should email or get in touch with the company that made the LEDs you installed.

Normally, LEDs need a resistor installed along with them unless they are specifically made to run on a 12 volt system.
